Alison Hopkins*

Practice Summary

Alison Hopkins splits her practice between Ontario and British Columbia, effectively serving her clients in both jurisdiction and providing particular knowledge on interjurisdictional matters. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2011 and the British Columbia Bar in 2012.

Alison’s practice has focused exclusively on insurance defence litigation for over ten years. She acts as counsel in the defence of casualty claims in the auto and occupier’s liability context, accident benefits, commercial general liability and property loss. She represents her clients before the superior courts and courts of appeal in both jurisdictions as well as in tribunal matters.

Her analytical and advocacy skills are a significant asset to her clients providing the ability to implement efficient and effective risk management strategies.
